Racing away at The Croft
Following the success of Many Clouds, the winning horse in Saturday’s Grand National, the Croft in Bourne will be holding its own race event on Saturday 18April from 5 .00 to 7.00 pm.
The Croft is a lifestyle living development by Larkfleet Homes and Keystone Developments and the race night will take place in the beautifully restored ‘manor house’ on site.
The race day is just one of a number of the events held during the year with the Bourne Royal British Legion which last year raised over £2,000 for service and ex-service men and women and their families. Most recently, the Croft held a successful and well-attended coffee morning for the charity. All proceeds from the race night will also go to the Royal British Legion.
Larkfleet Homes sales director Ben Burge said: “The Royal British Legion does a huge amount locally and The Croft is only too happy to support this event. The race night is fantastic fun with those attending picking their own horse using all the normal permutations – ranging from their lucky number to a favourite colour showing on the jockey’s silks. If they are lucky, they get to collect the winning prize money!”
Tickets for the event cost £5.00 and can be obtained from The Croft sales office on North Road in Bourne. The ticket price includes wine and cheese for visitors to enjoy during the evening.
The Croft development consists of 75 one, two and three-bedroom homes set around attractively landscaped gardens. The manor house, which has been fully restored to its former glory and stylishly refurbished, is now used as a communal hub for residents. To find out more about the Royal British Legion race event, please telephone The Croft’s sales office on 01778 426995 or call in at the development on North Road, Bourne.
